Survey highlights growing strain on UK Owner-Managed Businesses

Between May and July 2026, the APA surveyed 272 owner-managed businesses across the UK, revealing widespread concern about the business environment. Almost all respondents (97%) rated government support as poor or very poor, while 91% expect labour costs to increase over the next year. Reflecting these pressures, only 32% identified growth as their main business priority.
